The NEW Immigrants by Anne Snowden Crossman

Synopsis:
A Collection of Personal Immigration Narratives from Sedona, Arizona residents.

Writing Style: Conversational. Unconventional reporting.

Pacing: Fast.

Personal Highlights: The redemptive quality of the stories made for light, easy reading. Really appreciated this aspect. Also interesting was how almost all of the narratives expressed love for their native culture, traditions and country, along with freedoms enjoyed in America. The simplicity of the American system and ability to achieve dreams seemed to be a dominant perception. A few favorites; Klim, particularly on building homes. I agreed with Norma Parraz. 'Living in a foreign country to gain a global perspective should be encouraged...(I'd say for all Americans at some point in their lives, though Norma mentions American high-schoolers specifically). And Deb Wahl was an overall treat. Great Job. Recommended reading. I read the copyright 2012 paperback edition.
