Black Privilege by Charlamagne The God

Synopsis:
Life learned lessons and self-help insights and views of a media personality.

Writing Style: CLEAR! Crisp. Chop-chop to the point hip-hop rhythm

Pacing: Fierce!

Personal Highlights: Where O Where Do Art Start? Ok. It was the celestial name Charlamagne The God that peaked my interest. In other words, I opened the book with zero expectations. Perhaps this was why the book resonated as overall high-end entertainment. Most notable was how seamlessly CThaGod’s real life lessons and 'demotivational' spiels melded to create such an amazing reading experience... a rarity for self-help books. In his work he comes across as genuine. He's spiritual, not religious... and a storyteller to the core. Interestingly enough however, the unscripted advice he lends, (some practical, and mostly for entertainers), parallels remarks tossed back at him about his looks. Personally, his photos are as fine as they come, but then both... (the critiques he dishes, and clap-backs he receives)... only ruminates in the eyes of the beholder. Whether intended or not, this is a remarkably unique feature of his work!

Other observations; Aside from the humor and salt of the earth lessons, "Going to your core" (hmm, I noted) ...I might try. Also, 'getting to know other parts of his black culture'...respected that, along with his views on the 'value of education' ...and 'principles on thug life'. 'The 5-Percenters' I had to look up. Foot in door – yes sir! And the molestation bit...now that was real dialogue. 'Head Start'... what a sweet story. But come on CThaGod! Some bits are okay to omit. (Gosh, I howled!) Overall, there is something in here for everyone. Great job. Highly recommended. Read Copyright 2017 soft copy edition.
