Spare by Prince Harry

Synopsis: Personal journalistic testimony of British Royalty.

Writing Style: Crisp. Curt but warm. Passionate.

Pacing: Moderately Fast

Personal Highlights: I was warned: "This memoir is REALLY good." The advisory turned out 100% accurate.

I greatly respect the way Prince Harry relayed his personal testimony. The reading however, began moderately paced. He describes his upbringing affectionately; The parenting. The familial practices and values (tempered to this family). The pranks. The scoldings. The mentoring. Even the friction. Written with a deft genuine hand the family seems like an average family. Gosh. I so fell in love with the language and punctuation and clipped sentences...and the humor! This is some fine writing. Definitely visual, perhaps why, midway into the story the pacing had picked up to a speed that made it hard to put down the book.

Aside from Granny (Queen Elizabeth), and the relationship Prince Harry shared with his Pa (the Gloucestershire birthday day affair and the resulting conversation being premiere), his military career...the trips to Botswana ...and meeting Meghan were favorites. My goodness, there's just so much LIGHT in here, of course none more affecting than his remembrances and deep connection to his Mum. Princess Diana is encapsulated throughout, and her son is definitely carrying her light! LOVED IT!!! Highly recommended.
