Act Like You Got Some Sense by Jamie Foxx

Synopsis: Hollywood celebrity (actor/comedian/musician) recounting his relationship with his daughters (through his life experiences).

Pacing: FAST.

Writing: Personable.

Personal Highlights: This memoir proved to be a pleasing reading experience. Jamie is not ‘the’ traditional dad, though he embodies traditional values. He’s a fierce protector, a solid provider and is available to his daughters. With this being the case, he (of course) gets it right about men respecting women.

Overall, the entertainment value in ‘act like you got some sense’ is high. I laughed hardest about them hashtags, along with his version of 'time out'… and that bit on the ‘calm’…with the footprints in the ceiling! Oh man, that was funny, similar to Miss Anelise. “Jamie Foxx in the house!” Haha. …And that bit on God (and the devil) in her heart. Made it easy to appreciate her poetry. Fierce! Loved it!

But, God bless Miss Reeves, and for sure his grandparents. Most definitely; ‘You know you’ve done a good job parenting when your kids start parenting you.’ Great job! Highly recommended.
