A Pot of Rice to the Wonders of Wonton by Lorraine Witte
Synopsis: A mix of wonton recipes and complimentary personal anecdotes that inspired the recipe.
Writing Style: Quiet. Tidy. Classy.
Pacing: Fast.
Personal Highlights: The intro was bootiful. The pictures adorable. And the recipes, YUM…YUM! The soft sanitized stories definitely makes me think I’m going to have some real success trying the recipes. At least three recipes I plan to try right away. As far as the short stories; Marbles and Milk Caps and My First Pretty Dress were two of my favorites. Overall, I got a clear sense of a woman who loved her hardworking father for not only inspiring her culinary aspirations and the wonders of wonton, but for shaping the productive woman she became.
