Family Matters and More: Stories of My Life in Soviet Russia by Sol Tetelbaum
Although humorously told in English, I wished I knew Russian imagining how Russian humor translated to get the full vibe of this inspiring memoir of short stories. "The Compromise," was absolutely delightful. Loved this solidly grounded principled story. "A Couple of Drunkards," ...just pick me up off the floor hilarious. The new frantic parents and the trouble Dina caused...typical, though I couldn't help but laugh picturing it. "The antidote that cured Vova (his son) of bronchitis," simply invaluable. And not just the remedy itself, but the message behind the remedy. Lovely Work.
