"If you can write, that's great. If you can tell a story, that's even greater. But if you can work a resilient premise into both, you're worth digging to find."

The Cost of Hope by Amanda Bennett

Memoir, (Coping/Illness); Amanda's style of storytelling... short clipped sentences, and the way she allows readers to ask and then answer their own questions about our healthcare system is stirring and enriching. Almost, but never really does she seem to want to blame anyone. Instead, through careful research she struggles to make sense of the many disjointed facets that went into treating her husband's illness. She also treats readers to a most enchanting romance. Very beautiful memoir.
